Trout Park Baseball Field

The Trout Park Baseball field is located on Route 25 one block south of the Northwest Tollway (I-90) on the west side of the street. Turn west on Trout Park Boulevard. The baseball field is visible from the intersection. A parking lot is located at the west end of the field near the entrance to the park.

Street parking is allowed on the south side of Trout Park Boulevard. Please respect the residential neighborhood and obey the speed limit.

Trout Park is our primary baseball field and is one of the top fields in Northern Illinois. In addition to Trout Park, we occasionally utilize other fields located in the vicinity of Trout Park. Other fields are utilized for tournaments and the fall league. These fields include Larkin High School (Elgin), Wing Park (Elgin) and American (Elgin).

We wish to thank these entities and those individuals that maintain these fields in our endeavor to provide quality baseball sites to those visiting the Elgin area. Maps and directions are provided to these fields.

Judson College

Judson College is located on the east side of Route 31 (State Street) just south of I-90. The baseball field is at the east end of the campus along the Fox River. Parking is generally available at several lots near the field. From Trout Park, turn north on Dundee Avenue and take the I-90 ramp west. Cross the river and exit at Route 31. Turn south or left on Route 31. Go south less than ½ mile; the entrance to Judson College will be on your right (east side of Route 31). Enter the campus and continue east to the field.

Wing Park

Wing Park is located on the west side of Elgin on Wing Street, west of Route 31 and east of McLean Boulevard. From Trout Park, turn north on Dundee Avenue and take the I-90 ramp west. Cross the river and exit at Route 31 south. Take Route 31 south to Wing Street, then turn right (west). Drive approximately ½ mile and enter the park entrance on your right (north). Enter the park and drive around to either Field #1 (Legion Field) or Field #2 (Classic Field). Field #1 (Legion) is the east field, and home plate and first base line are along the golf course. Field #2 is located near the northwest corner of the park and is the baseball field closest to the swimming pool and band shell.

Elgin Community College

The Elgin Community College baseball field is located behind or to the west of the College. From Trout Park, turn north on Dundee Avenue and take the I-90 ramp west. Cross the river and exit at Route 31 south. Take Route 31 south to Highland Avenue, turning right (west). Take Highland and veer to the left at the fork in the road. This is Larkin Avenue. Take Larkin Avenue to McLean Boulevard then turn left (south). Continue south to Spartan Drive (south of Route 20 Lake St.). Turn west (right) on Spartan and drive to the west end of the campus to the baseball field.

Elgin American Park

Elgin American is located on the east side of Elgin on Summit Street (Route 58), east of Route 25 at the intersection of Hiawatha. From Trout Park, turn south on Dundee Ave and then turn east at the first light, Congdon Avenue. Travel a short distance and then turn south (right) on Hiawatha. Take Hiawatha approximately 1 mile to Elgin American, located on the west side of the street just north of Summit.

Larkin High School

The Larkin High School baseball field is located behind to the south of the high school. The field is on the northwest corner of McLean and Erie. The best place to park is on Erie Street. From Trout Park, turn north on Dundee Avenue and take the I-90 ramp west. Cross the river and exit at Route 31 south. Take Route 31 south to Highland Avenue, turning right (west). Take Highland and veer to the left onto Larkin Avenue at the fork in the road. Take Larkin Avenue to McLean Boulevard, then turn left (south). Continue south and you will see the baseball field on your right. Turn west on Erie, the varsity field will be the first field on your right.

Elgin Continental

The Elgin Continental Complex is located on the southwest side of Elgin on the east side of Route 31 just south of Route 20. Turn east onto the Illinois Secretary of State office road, but stay to your right. The large field (60' x 90') is located on the northeast side of the complex. This field does have lights, and parking is available at the complex.

Westminster Christian High School

Westminster Christian High School is located on the north side of Highland Boulevard, just west of Randall Road. The baseball fields are located behind the school and to the north of the school. There is a large parking lot next to the school and then a short walk north to the field. From Trout Park, turn north on Dundee Avenue and take the I-90 ramp west. Cross the river and exit at Randall Road. Turn left (south) on Randall Road. Take Randall south to Highland Avenue, turning right (west). The school will be a ½ block down on your right (north).

Elgin High School

The Elgin High School baseball field is located on the south side of Route 19 (Chicago Street). The field is north of the high school and the best entrance is off of Route 19. There is a parking lot just north of the field available as you turn into the school. From Trout Park turn south on Dundee Avenue. Take Dundee Avenue to the first light, Condon Avenue. Turn left (east), to Route 25. Take Route 25 south (right), to Route 19. Turn left (east), and drive approximately one mile to school on your right.
